Seraching for Einstein

..Today i got asked a question. ..well lots of questions (i do teach after all) but 2 of those questions really stood out! the first, and the one i didnt answer unfortunately although it wasnt my intention. was why do you love TA so much? - and although this set me off an a history of how it all began way back when. i still didnt actually answer the question, sorry, i will get to it Lesley.

The other question was "Where is all this going? ..for you?". And i answered, following a split flashback to easter which is where this all began. I want to run therapy groups, lots of them, and with the money i get for that im going to...

And the answer went on. And in my idealistic romantic notion of what can be done in this world i basically shared with the class my grand vision of eliminating the working class and the sub class, and making the criminal class so insignificant that only the very worst of crimes will grace our news items, and thats when it hit me...

During my explanation of my grand plan i started to woffle about how education and finance will create a massive attitude shift in societies forgotten and they, in turn will become productive members of that society. But until then, we are giving up every opportunity to find the next Einstein!

Einstein was born with a genius brain, but if he had found himself growing up on the wonderful council estate of Hawkseley, the chances are there would be no Einstein. if he was born in some US ghetto community, he would probably have been shot dead or found himself in prison by the age of 25.

..And yeah, its that obvious - i would rather have 10 Einsteins than one sub-class community, and the simple fact is that for as long as we are creating and maintaining these communities that are sub class, we deny ourselves the next Einstein. In fact, Einstein could be quiet commonplace if we educated all, and made it affordable for all.

Imagine that! a world where 10 Einsteins a week are born, all that genius feeding the imagination of human kind. The stars would be ours, disease a thing of the past, and we as human beings could progress to the "next level"!

..But what do i know, im just an old man on a bench!

Waiting to be Civilised!!!

Ya know folks I have said it many times and heard it many many more. “We are civilised.” Or “Welcome to the age of civilisation”. But after what I have heard recently – THE FUCK WE ARE!!!! It wasn’t that long ago when my heart and stomach churned with disgust at the antics of Robert Mogabee, and numerous other “dictators” as we call them, in the harshed sense.

But very recently something was brought to my attention. It was brought to my attention through a very close look at the history of hip hop, and the state of the inner-cities. – this is an attack on the US mainly but we in the UK are just as bad, and it breaks my heart to know that it is the same across the West. But here’s the thing.

Following the work of civil rights leaders like King and X, things changed. No longer did people have to sit at the back of the bus or give there seat up, no longer did they have to go to purposely poor-education schools. No longer did they have to be excluded from jobs blah blah blah.. No, things changed ..didn’t they? ..YEAH – SLAVE OWNERS AND THERE GENERALS GOT REALLY FUCKIN SMART!!!

So heres the fucking trap that goes back as noticeably as President Regan. First, lets remove all hope, and keep unemployment high. Heavy policing by racist police should see the prisons nice and full, which in turn means they wont get a job, oh, or a vote!! ..but should those police see to many crimes within these communities, then don’t be so quick to rush in and stop it, that’s a waste of good police hours. And lets not forget the classic – those of them that rap, cant say the word gun!! If the do, we can actually punish them with death – and ronny said make it so, and so it was!

..But then along came bush – as if the above wasn’t enough, lets give them Crack, that’s should rip to hell an already sick community – and it did! And the gangs became even fiercer and streets weren’t safe for anyone at all. And the police would never come when there was just another dead one, or a child was set fire too, or a girl age 14 was being gang rapped. The police would never come then.. no not then. The police would come when there were 3 or 4 of them on the corner having a laugh and a chat. When there was one of them walking home alone, and the police would do there “other work”, and carry out there regular systematic beatings. And if you fought back, you went to jail. – simple as.

And these communities have been, and ARE STILL devastated and torn as there young men are killed by gang violence, or drugs or end up in prison. Generations of uneducated hoodlum jail-birds left to take care of a the ones that crack and the police didn’t get!! But what of the youth that go to jail? For 10 years, 20 years, 30, 40, 50 years. What of them – well some genius said put them to work – we can generate an entire workforce out of convicts and not have to pay them a penny!

..did you see my point there? ..No? well lets look at it like this. %49 of crack usage is in white America, but %38 of the crack dealers and users that fill jails are black. Compared to the %13 for the same offences – who tend to get shorter terms anyway. – are we there yet? Do you see the point? No?.. ok, how about this, %65 of prisoners in the US are black or Hispanic, but actually only make up something like %25 - %33 of the population. – does that make my point? ..well let me make my view know in the next paragraph…

…IF THAT’S IS THE WORTH OF THESE PEOPLE, FUCK IT!!! GO BACK TO WIPING, RAPING AND RIPPING APART THE PEOPLE THAT MORE THAN PLAYED THERE PART IN MAKING AMERICA GREAT. LETS NOT PRETEND ANYMORE, AS IF THEY EVER HAD A FAIR CHANCE, AS IF YOU EVER WANTED THEM TO BE PART OF YOUR SOCIETY – LETS JUST SHOW YOUR TRUE COLOURS AND BRING BACK THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF SLAVERY SO WE DON’T HAVE THE CONFUSION AND LIES THAT ALLOW YOU TO LOOK SO GLOSSY AND GREAT – FUCKING AMERICA. ..AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, GUYS LIKE MOGABEE DON’T LOOK SO BAD, JUST A LITTLE OBVIOUS. AND THE US NEVER MADE THE JUMP FROM 400YEARS TO NOW, THEY JUST CHANGED THE RULES AND STACKED THE ODDS, BUT KEPT SLAVERY STRONG. THE SLAVE OWNERS AND THERE GENERALS ARE TOO FUCKING SMART, BUT LETS NOT FUCK ABOUT HERE – EVIL IS THE TERM I WANT TO USE. BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT YOU REALLY ARE!!!!

..and the next time I hear of some guy who has kept his adopted daughter in the basement of his house for god knows how many years, and rapes her over 3000 times and has so many kids with her, I wont bat an eye-lid. And the next time I hear about some guy who has a basement full of bodies – oh please, don’t even interrupt breakfast!! ..or some apparently sick paedophile priest has interfered with some sections of the congragration – over decades, why even make it news worthy??

..And I started this by talking about “being civilised”. – we are far far from it folks, lets not say we are, lets not pretend. Times are as dark now as they were 400, 1000 years ago for too many people to think for one second that we could ever reach such lofty heights. And I know we may as individuals, but the records of our nations must MUST change.

..and 3 old men on a bench got up and went home.
